The eleventh annual Stanford University Basin and Petroleum System Modeling Industrial Affiliates Meeting was held November 12-14, 2018, at the Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant in Coalinga, CA. On Monday we gathered, on Tuesday we heard all-day oral sessions by Stanford graduate students, who presented talks on their current research on basin and petroleum system modeling with principal advisors also in attendance. Wednesday featured a field trip to investigate the Kreyenhagen-Temblor(!) and essential elements of other petroleum systems in the western San Joaquin Basin, California. During the course of one day, we were able to see all the elements of that petroleum system, exposed due to geologically recent uplift/erosion.
