I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student advised by Dr. Steve Graham and working closely with Drs. Allegra Hosford Scheirer, Mike Moldowan, Les Magoon, Ken Peters, and Kris Meisling.
My work with the Basin and Petroleum System Modeling (BPSM) group is focused on the Pegasus Basin, a frontier basin off the east coast of New Zealand. I am using source rock and oil seep geochemistry, seismic sequence stratigraphy, and structural restoration to constrain petroleum migration, environment of deposition, uplift and subsidence, and paleogeography for the Pegasus. In addition to modeling general basin and petroleum system history, my work will focus on narrowing the range of scenarios to model, which will in turn be extremely valuable in reducing uncertainty (and eventually, exploration risk) within the Pegasus Basin.
