Annual Meeting 2013

The sixth annual Stanford University Basin and Petroleum System Modeling Industrial Affiliates Conference was held on Tuesday-Thursday, November 12-14, 2013. The meeting took place at the beautiful Hyatt Santa Barbara. Tuesday night featured an icebreaker sponsored by Schlumberger. On Wednesday, Stanford graduate students presented talks on their basin and petroleum system modeling research. The following day (Thursday) featured a field trip to investigate the petroleum system of the Santa Barbara Coast. Trip highlights included the stunning Ventura Avenue Anticline, oil seeps at Carpenteria State Beach, and nearly the full expanse of Monterey Formation at Gaviota State Beach.
