Bjorn Wygrala is Managing Director, Technology Transfer at Schlumberger Center of Excellence for Petroleum Systems Modeling, which provides software and services for Petroleum Systems Modeling, also described as Basin and Petroleum System Modeling by the Stanford Affiliates Program. Schlumberger offers technically advanced technology that continually evolves with an extensive range of unique features by way of the PetroMod© system, that provide capabilities to do 1D, 2D, and 3D modeling. Students will be encouraged to spend a week or two at the Aachen, Germany headquarters to work directly with the software engineers and developers to better understand the modeling workflows and algorithms.
