Allegra Hosford Scheirer finalist for 2013 International Data Rescue Award

Allegra Hosford Scheirer was one of 16 worldwide finalists for the 2013 International Data Rescue Award in the Geosciences, organized by IEDA and Elsevier Research Data Services. The contest's goal was to improve preservation and access of research data and to share the varied ways these data are being processed, stored, and used. Some of the criteria for submission including the documentation of data standards, metadata, and size/scope of the user community and dataset. Allegra Hosford Scheirer's submission focused on the rescue, manipulation, and publication of data from the San Joaquin Basin of California (chapters 5 and 7).
