The fourth annual Stanford University Basin and Petroleum System Modeling Industrial Affiliates Meeting was held on Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5, 2011. The conference took place at Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant in Coalinga, CA. The first day (Friday) featured a field trip to investigate the Kreyenhagen-Temblor(!) petroleum system in the San Joaquin Basin, California. During the course of the day, we saw all elements of that petroleum system, exposed due to geologically recent uplift/erosion. Saturday featured an oral session by Stanford graduate students.
